Jamak Recipient of Prestigious Supplier Award from Delphi

Officials from Fortune 100 giant “Delphi Corporation” presented their prestigious “Above and Beyond” Supplier Award to Texas based Jamak Fabrication Inc. on July 10th, 2007.

A long-time major supplier of automotive electrical insulators, Jamak took on a massive program beginning late fall of 2006 to help Delphi place the production of millions of additional spark plug insulator boots into Jamak’s global facilities. The majority of the volume has been successfully integrated into their USA based facility, with some production being placed in Jamak’s China based facilities.

Delphi was faced with some strategic business decisions that required very urgent timing and flawless execution. The transition required numerous new tools and support equipment to be designed, built and installed.

Jamak is no stranger to this sort of major business transitioning, having accomplished it with other customers over their 35+ years in business. The primary challenges Jamak had to overcome related to ensuring the right kind of available capacity, and the availability of employees in their local area to handle the immediate growth.

Jamak is a hugely diverse manufacturing company offering design and development of products for many markets, and is strategically positioned on three continents – North America, Europe, and Asia. In addition to automotive related insulators, seals and gaskets, Jamak products are provided to the Appliance, Lighting, Medical / Healthcare, Construction and Retail / Consumer markets.

Jamak company officials reported that they were extremely proud to have received this award on behalf of the many employees that made it possible.
